ManyGrades privacy policy

Summary

ManyGrades does not collect or share any personal data. There is no account, no ads and no analytics or usage tracking. Everything you add stays on your phone.

What is stored and where

Your terms, courses, assessments, grades, scales and settings are stored only in the app’s storage on your phone. They are never sent to our servers or anyone else’s.

Backups and CSV

If you use "Save backup" or "Export CSV", the app creates a file and you choose where to send it (Files, email, a cloud service…). From then on, that file is handled by the service you chose, under its own rules.

Your phone’s backup

If your phone’s backup is turned on (iCloud on iPhone, Google on Android), the system may include the app’s data in it. That backup is stored in your own account, you control it and we have no access to it. It keeps you from losing anything when you change phones; if you do not want it, you can turn it off in your phone’s settings.

News and "More apps"

To show these two sections, the app downloads two public text files from this website (the news and the list of apps in the family). The request carries none of your data: nothing you added, no identifiers, no cookies.

As with any internet connection, the server hosting the website receives the IP address in order to respond and may keep it for a while in its technical logs. We do not use it to identify you or combine it with anything. Without internet, the app shows the last saved copy.

Stores and other apps

The buttons to rate the app, see other apps or open ManyCards take you to the App Store, Google Play or ManyCards, which have their own policies. Store links include a campaign tag (the app and section name) so we know which screen a download came from; it contains none of your data.

Deleting your data

In Settings you can use "Delete all". If you delete the app, your data is deleted from the phone too (except backups you saved yourself and anything left in your phone’s backup).

Children

ManyGrades is suitable for everyone and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If anything in this policy changes, you will see it on this page with a new date.
